Ce matin, on se fait aviser que ça fait très exactement 48 heures et 10 minutes que nous sommes au quai municipal, qu’il est temps que nous cédions notre place. Petit problème, le brouillard est tellement épais que nous ne voyons pas à 10 pieds en avant de nous, notre départ devra attendre. Donc petit déjeuner au the Bean Café, puis nous allons faire un dernier tour au Consignement Store le temps que le brouillard se dissipe.
Miracle! Je ne sais pas comment nous avions fait pour passer à côté de cela la dernière fois, mais je trouve une pompe à l’eau, pratiquement neuve en plus! Elle est affichée à 50$ mais on la négocie à 34$, toute une économie comparativement au 285$ qu’on se résignait de plus à investir dans une pompe neuve. Je flanche aussi pour un frein de bôme Dutchman à 100$ qui en plus vient avec deux poulies doubles Ronstan (le tout vaut près de 600$). À partir de maintenant les empannages non contrôlés, c’est de l’histoire ancienne.
Vers midi, on décide de quitter pour Beaufort, nous avons possiblement une fenêtre météo qui nous permettra de sortir en mer demain. Nous faisons nos adieux à Albatros et Alraso qui tenteront de traverser directement à St-Martin si la météo le permet.

This morning, we are informed that we’ve been at the municipal dock for the past 48 hours and 10 minutes, that we have leave so that others can take our places. Little problem, the fog is so thick we can’t see more than 10 feet in front of us, we will have to wait for it to clear before we can leave. So we go for breakfast at the Bean Café, and we go have a last look at the Consignement Store.
Miracle ! I don’t know how we did to miss it during our previous visit, but I find a water pump. Even better, it’s almost brand new. The advertised price is 50$ but we deal it at 34$, a real bargain considering we were slowly accepting the fact the we may need to buy a new one for $285. I also go for a Dutchman boom brake at $100, which for that price also comes two Ronstan double blocks (the whole set is worth at least 600$). From now on, uncontrolled jibes are things from the past.
At around noon, we decide to leave in direction of Beaufort, there is possibly a weather window that will allow us to go out to sea tomorrow. We say goodbye to Albatros and Alraso, they will try to cross to St-Martin from here if the weather permits.
