Petit défi aujourd’hui : remplacer les planches qui tiennent nos bidons à l’extérieur. En gros ça consiste à rapporter deux 2"x10"x8’ en bois traité de la quincaillerie la plus près (environ 2 milles). Je peux vous assurer que nous avons fait notre exercice pour la semaine. En plus, on a finalement trouvé des automobilistes moins civilisés que les Québécois; les habitants d'Elizabeth City. La plupart sont trop pressés pour nous laisser passer avec notre charge.
En après-midi, on se fait une petite réunion sur Peace IV, afin de planifier notre prochain déplacement. Le vent devrait finalement tourner au nord cette nuit, nous allons pouvoir faire de la voile demain. On s’inquiète aussi de ce qui se passe dans l’Atlantique, où au moins 2 tempêtes tropicales sont en formation.

Little challenge today : replace the planks holding the jugs on the deck. The task consist of taking back to the boat two 2"x10"x8’of pressure treated wood from the closest hardware store (around 2 miles away). I can assure you that we did a week worth of exercise. In bonus, we finally found some drivers less civilized than people from Quebec; the citizens of Elizabeth City. Most of them are too much in a hurry to let us go by with our load.
In the afternoon, we improvise a little reunion aboard Peace IV, in order to plan our next moves. The wind should finally shift north late tonight, we are going to be sailing tomorrow. We are a little worried by what is going on in the Atlantic, where at least 2 tropical storm are forming.
