Le beau temps est finalement arrivé. Nous sommes réveillés ce matin par des vedettes militaires qui s’entrainent et signalent chacun de leurs déplacements par des coups de klaxon. Nous profitons de l’avant-midi pour aller explorer la ville plus en profondeur. Je retourne dans le magasin Helly Hansen que nous avions visité rapidement la veille et je me résigne à acheter un habit pour le mauvais temps Ocean Racing Helly Tech O2, les prix sont juste trop alléchants (j’aurais pu attendre le show pour voir les habits Gill, Musto, etc., mais je dois avouer avoir un faible pour H/H).

Le vendeur chez H/H nous indique quelques bon endroit où aller manger, nous en profitons donc pour aller diner au pub Ram’s Head, une belle découverte. Nous visitons une bonne partie de la ville (nous avons encore oublié notre caméra) avant de retourner à notre obligation de la journée, faire un pump out. Il y a un bateau qui se déplace jusqu’à vous ici, par contre, lorsqu’on l’appelle, on nous indique que nous sommes ancrés dans un endroit restreint, qu’ils ne peuvent nous offrir le service. On doit donc se désancrer et aller quelques centaines de mètres plus loin. On profite du temps d’attente pour resserrer le cadran de la barre à roue qui est lousse pour des raisons mystérieuses.

On finit la journée en allant se trouver un nouvel encrage dans la zone restreinte qui commence à être franchement très occupée.

The nice weather is finally here. We are waken this morning by navy boats that are training close by and that are signaling their every move with their horn. We use the time before lunch time to go around town. I go back in the Helly Hansen store that we briefly visited last night and I resign myself to by a complete Ocean Racing Helly Tech O2 foul weather outfit, the price is just too attractive (I could have waited for the show to see the other outfit by Gill, Musto, etc., but I must admit I’m biased towards H/H).

The salesman at H/H indicates us the good places to go eat in town, so we go down to Ram’s Head pub for lunch, a nice discovery. We visit a good part of town (we forgot our camera once again) before returning to today’s obligation, doing a pump out. There is a boat that comes to you here for the pump out, but when we call the boat, he points out that we are in a restricted naval anchorage zone, that we have to move if we want to be serviced. So we pull our anchor and move to the designated anchorage spot. We use the waiting time to tighten the steering wheel mechanism that got loose somehow.

We end the day by going back to our previous anchorage spot, in the restricted zone, spot that got crowded since we left a few hours ago.
