Aujourd’hui, nous avons passé une journée relativement tranquille. Ce matin, nous avons pris une marche à New Hamburg et lavez le bateau. Nous avons quitté le port aux environs de 11h30.
Vers 16h, on tente d’entrer dans une petite anse à environ 3 miles nautiques au nord de Nayak. Selon ActiveCaptain, c’est un bon mouillage avec 15 pieds partout. En y pénétrant, on s’échoue à basse vitesse par 2 fois. On décide donc de changer d’endroit. L’idée de descendre jusqu’à NY nous passe par la tête, ce n’est qu’à 3h d’ici avec la marée de notre côté, par contre, en appelant à la 79th Street Boat Bassin, on se fait dire qu’il n’y a plus de moorings de disponibles. On s’ancre donc à 1 mile nautique au nord de Nayak.

Today, we had a relatively quiet day. This morning, we walked around in New Hamburg and we washed the boat. We left port at around 11:30 am.
At around 4 pm, we try to enter a little bay located about 3 nm North of Nayak. According to ActiveCaptain, it’s a good place to anchor with 15 feet of water all around. While trying to enter the bay, we run aground at a very low speed twice. We decide to move to another place. The idea of reaching NY city crosses our minds, it’s only 3 hours away with the tide on our side as it’s right now, but after calling 79th Street Boat Bassin, we change idea as there are no more mooring availible. Instead, we anchor 1 nm North of Nayak.
